Queensland Academies would like to congratulate Brilliant Futures student Seoro Brady, Year 6, on her outstanding presentation at National Science Week’s Café Scientifique. Seoro presented her findings in mathematical exploration research into possible improvement opportunities for Australian athletes.
Café Scientifique, held at the Queensland University of Technology, provided an opportunity for students to showcase their scientific research to a panel of judges that included Queensland Chief Scientist Geoff Garrett. Participants from schools including the Queensland Academies, Everton Park State High School and Milton State School presented research in a variety of topics such as solar particles, engineering a gantry, water quality and global warming.
Queensland Academies would also like to commend Seoro on her recent induction into the Brilliant Futures Program for highly capable students.
