Queensland Academies – Term 1 Activities

It has been a busy start to Term 1 for Queensland Academies students who have been participating in a range of different activities.

QACI recently hosted The Big Day in for Visual Art students in Year 11 and 12. This day brings together students and practising artists. Having the opportunity to sit down with these artists is a fantastic way to learn about their art practice, life experience and various art making techniques. Throughout the day the artists presented their experience and practice as an artist, then facilitated a workshop teaching hands-on skills in different mediums. Please click here to read more

Jason Wang, a Year 11 QASMT student has been selected to represent Australia at the 2019 Asian Pacific Mathematical Olympiad. Only a small number of students are selected for this event. We wish Jason the best of luck in the upcoming competition. Please click here to read more

Four students from QAHS, Melinda Sun (Year 10), Angie Zhou (Year 11), Isabelle Khamsone and Ho-Se Kim (Year 12), attended the AMEB Graduation Ceremony on Friday 1 March. These students achieved either an AMusA (Associate in Music) or an LMusA (Licentiate in Music, the highest grade possible in AMEB) in 2018. Please click here to read more
