Queensland Academies – Term 2, Week 5

Students from all three Academies have been involved in a wide range of sporting endeavours in the last few weeks. This demonstrates the IB learner profile attribute balance, juggling different aspects of their lives both academically and physically.

Queensland Academies Creative Industries organised its first ever Runfest, another way to incorporate positive health and wellbeing into the life of our community. It was a successful event with students running and walking the 4.2km course, striving for house points to take the coveted Golden Goose. Click here to read more

Angeline Allan from the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology recently participated in a 4 day State Volleyball Competition at Caloundra Indoor Sports Centre and won a silver medal. Click here to read more

Niamh Grogan from Queensland Academies Health Sciences recently captained the South Coast U15’s AFL team in the state championships. She also secured her position on the Queensland U15 team and will travel to Tasmania to compete in the national championships. A huge well done and congratulations to Niamh on her achievement.
