Tait Hearps

Tait Hearps has been a student at the Queensland Academy for Health Sciences (QAHS) from Year 10 in 2011. During the 2012– 2013 academic years, Tait has completed Biology, English and Chemistry at Higher Level and Mathematics, Business and Management and French ab initio at Standard Level. As part of his studies for the International Baccalaureate, he has also completed an Extended Research Essay (EE) in the area of Business and Management, with the title of “How should Santos alter their corporate social responsibility strategies in order to allay stakeholder conflict in their coal seam gas mining operations?”. Tait also completed a Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques (PML30104) at the Southbank Institute of Technology.

Tait has maintained a creative, healthy and humanitarian involvement whilst undertaking a challenging academic programme. He has shown leadership skills in roles such as an elected member of the Student Executive and Australian Business Week CEO, and as a Student Host for Open Day Tours. Through his CAS component, Tait has taken many opportunities to develop and grow as a person, gaining work experience at the Griffith University Medical Research Centre and participating in the Kokoda Challenge. He pursued his creative development and healthy involvement through participation in the Vision Generation Group, the Interact Club, Lexi Loci Law Club, Gym Fitness Club, Interschool Sports and Bond University Trivia Competitions.

In 2014, Tait will be Studying a Bachelor of Medical Science (MBBS) at Griffith University.
