How do they work? Plastic is everywhere (Bright Minds Years 3-4)
There are many different types of plastics; all are made from long chains of molecules called polymers.
We will make our own plastic using some common kitchen products and then manipulate the quantities and temperatures of the materials to see if we can find the most economical way to increase the yield. We’ll even turn our homemade plastic into something usable! A hands-on workshop to develop problem-based thinking.
Location: Queensland Academies, Science, Mathematics and Technology Campus (78 Bywong Street, Toowong)
Date: Saturday, 10 June 2017
