QUT Tinkering with Technology (Bright Minds)
Tinkering is a constructive approach to learning that fosters and promotes cross-curricula, creative and flexible thinking in the classroom. This workshop will engage students in a process of project-based learning through tinkering using a range of digital technologies, including MaKey MaKey, Audacity and SondPlant. Students will engage with these technologies through open-ended, dynamic, and collaborative activities, whilst approaching real-world challenges.

Workshop 1: 9 am – 12 pm; OR
Workshop 2: 1 pm – 4 pm.
Capacity: 16 in each workshop
Students are required to wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes, with hair tied back, and bring a drink and a snack. All other materials are supplied.
This workshop seeks to:
- explicitly explore the concept of function
- strengthen cooperation skills and
- provide students with the opportunity to develop self-management skills including those associated with making informed choices.
