Writer’s Notebook – Portrait poetry (Bright Minds Years 3-4)
How well do you know yourself? Explore what it means to be you by delving into your inner thoughts and emotions. Students will create a mixed media collage by deconstructing and reconstructing a picture of themselves, using words and charcoal images.
Location: Queensland Academies, Creative Industries Campus (61 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove)
Date: Dual Engagement – students must attend both workshops
Thursday 25 May and Friday 26 May, 2017
Time: 4.00 – 5.30 pm (both days)
Students are required to wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes, with hair tied back, and bring a drink and a snack. All other materials are supplied.
This workshop seeks to:
- explicitly explore the concept of form
- strengthen confidence skills
- provide students with the opportunity to develop communication skills including those associated with presenting.
