From sporting success to academic success, students from all 3 campuses have been working hard to achieve their goals.
Earlier this month, Oliver Henderson from Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) represented Australia at the New Zealand Bouldering National Championships. Oliver placed 4th in his category out of the 15 competitors, narrowly missing the 3rd place title by 1 point. Read more about the championships on the QACI website.
Camielle Neighbour from Queensland Academies Health Sciences has won all 4 NSW Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions this season (in Armidale, 2 in Sydney, and in Newcastle), including winning the NSW Country Championships. Camille also won the perpetual trophy for the highest scoring Rhythmic Gymnastics competitor of any level in the 2019 NSW Country Championships.
Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology students achieved outstanding results in their Year 7 NAPLAN tests. The majority of students achieved the upper two bands across multiple components. View a summary of these results, with national comparisons on the QASMT website.
