As a part of the Australian Science Teachers Association’s teacher exchange delegation to Japan, Sandra Davey (Educational Programs Coordinator, Queensland Academies) will be posting a series of critical thinking challenges designed to inspire the minds of students in Years 3 – 6. These challenges will be drawn from the vast resources available within the collections of major science museums and institutions across Japan, including the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
Five challenges will be set across a period of two weeks. The questions will focus on cutting edge scientific innovations and emerging technologies as a means of developing awareness and challenging students to think deeply about the world they wish to live in.
Students are asked to identify themselves by their first name only, followed by the first initial of their school e.g. Sandy Q.
